You ever notice how only the really popular people with tons of fans and followers will tell you that validation doesn't matter? These are people who do not remember what it's like to put days, weeks, months or even years of effort into something, only to have nobody notice it. Even when you self-advertise, even if you're aggressive about making sure people see it, and it's still invisible. It baffles them to think that not everyone can just fart out anything and have a bazillion likes or faves or whatever within five seconds.

It's like a rich person telling a starving person that money can't buy happiness. Fuck you, check your privilege. Support independent talent when you can.

I wouldn't consider myself popular or anything, and I'm not going to say there aren't hypocrites out there. I bet there are tons of people in that position who would crumble without the validation. We do all need to support independent content more ^^

BUT I can tell you that even if it sucks a lot of the time, Validation shouldn't be at the top of the priority list when it comes to creative content. Sure it might be a thing that keeps you going, but If I got bummed out everytime someone didn't comment on my comic, or forward to a friend a thing I did, idk if I'd be able to go on. Don't forget you're also doing this for you and what inspires you!!

You are extremely talented and it's been a joy to watch you through TTOCT, but when that tournament's over don't think I wont keep watching ya to see where your art takes ya!. cheers
